Best Laid Plans And All.

Ah well...

It looks like my idea for getting a podcast up and running fell through. For the moment at least.

It's a case of having a life and having other people involved who also have lives. Loads of fun hey?

Anyway. It looks like Billie Piper is on the verge of playing a prostitute in the TV adaptation of the blog and book of 'Belle de Jour'. Now unlike many. I'm not a massive fan of Billie. Sure she is kind of nice looking and all. But I don't know, just doesn't push all my buttons I guess. Though I do think she's become a bloody good actress and have much respect for her taking on such a difficult role.

Now have never been with Belle de Jour. I probably wouldn't have the stamina with me being 37 generally fucked and old and stuff. Am joking of course.

Interestingly enough I actually know one or two call girls. So I will find it really interesting in so many ways to see how well this series portrays the lifestyle based on some of the stores have heard from girlfriends and all.

Confessions Of A SciFi Webmaster

Hi all,

My name is Ian and well 30 thousand people who browse my website http://scifipulse.net will know me more for my work than they do me personally.

Now obviously am not going to have an abundance of time to post here but will do my best to do so over the coming weeks.

My main reason for joining this thing is not so much as to reach out than it is a means to promote my new podcast which am working on with an American and a Canadian friend of mine.

Turns out that my web service does not really provide all the necessary bandwidth which am likely to need for a podcast so am looking at ways to get it started for free in much the same way as my site started out life on Geocities 6 long years ago. Admittedly the site could use a big redesign, if only I had the skills necessary, but alas I do not, and much prefer to just write.

Anyway my main motive for signing on here because I already use Googlemail was to basically use this as a means of starting the podcast and floating it on feedburner, though admittedly I have absolutely no idea how as of yet.

I hope to record the first SciFi Pulse Podcast tomorrow and hope to post that online by next weekend. Basically my friend who is a sound engineer will be doing some insert edits and what not and the theme will very much be discussion based on Science Fiction and Fantasy TV and Movies as well as a few discussions about retro sci fi. So obviously we're aiming for that audience.

Anyway that's all I have for now. Pretty boring really. Hope you all have a great weekend and I shall try and post again next weekend.
